Terry’s is truly the best place to go for all of your automotive needs. Mike D. and Danielle at the front desk were exceptional from start to finish. They were incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and helpful, answering every question I had without ever making me feel like I was inconveniencing them—even with my repeated calls and questions. What really stood out to me was the honesty and straightforward approach. There was absolutely no “BS”—they were upfront about everything, explained what to expect, and made sure I understood the process every step of the way. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I feel very fortunate to have found Terry’s and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy, professional, and customer-focused automotive shop.

Called to inquire about transmission fluid flush and check, woman answering the phone was calm and confident, knowledgeable in her work, and got me all the information I needed! I ended up needing to drop it off as the engine light came on before I got to the transmission flush, they were up front about turnaround time and pricing So glad to have such a reputable honest shop so close to home! Thanks Terrys team!

This is the right place, and this is not a fake review—this is my real experience. I didn't spend six years in graduate school just to have my car ruined. I brought my vehicle in for a transmission fluid check only—I never authorized any transmission work. Not only was I charged for work I didn't request, but just one week later I was told I needed an entirely new transmission. The repair work was horrible and completely unacceptable. Based on my experience, I would avoid this place at all costs. I wouldn't trust them with my vehicle again.

As a business owner at Pro Snow Removal, having reliable equipment is everything—especially in the middle of winter. Terry’s Transmission Service has been absolutely outstanding to work with. The first time we brought trucks in, we had multiple snowplow vehicles experiencing transmission issues. Their team pulled us right in, quickly and professionally diagnosed the problems, and provided affordable, straightforward solutions. They truly understood the urgency and how critical it was to get our trucks back on the road fast. One truck was still under manufacturer warranty, and even though they weren’t doing the warranty repair themselves, they took the time to thoroughly diagnose it and provide a detailed, accurate assessment. That diagnosis was spot-on and made the entire process seamless with the dealer—it saved us a ton of time and headaches. It’s rare to find a shop that combines expertise, honesty, and urgency the way they do. I highly recommend Terry’s Transmission Service and will continue using them for all of our transmission needs. We need more businesses like this in Central New York.

Mike and his team did a great job of diagnosing my truck. I started experiencing transmission like symptoms heading out I-90 east. I was able to tow it into the lot, drop the keys off in the box overnight and Mike gave me a call the very next day after looking into the issues which saved me a ton of money. Turns out I just needed new fluid, a filter and gasket. Truck has been running great since. I will be keeping my ear to the ground and if I hear any other weird noises or experience issues on the road I would not hesitate to drop off the my truck again to Mike and his team.
